Arka (essence)... in Tiny House India being a global leader in the agriculture sector. Agriculture is the primary source of livelihood for about 58% of the Indian population.
The design aims to accommodate a Mumbai based couple in a tiny house intervention wherein their basic needs are looked after. Additionally, blending the Structure within the socio-cultural context of Maharashtra in order to generate the connect/acceptance with the locals.
The Man is an agriculturist associated with government authorities and his spouse is a freelance fine artist. Owing to the scarcity of land created by population Explosion, the Agriculturist upon Government directives is keen on creating an awareness amongst farmers regarding the new technology of Hydroponic farming and other technical advancements.
The Artist is involved in commissioned works for landscape and streetscape painting and exhibits/ sells her work globally as well as in cities and towns during intercity transits. The house is stationed at a central location covering areas of Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg and Kolhapur Districts. However, the house can be relocated if required.
